Click here for photos of the construction: updated October 2, 2009 The "Agape Room" is the first major addition to the Kairos Conference Center in over 20 years! The room was named by Judith Ammerman whose generous gift helped launch our capital campaign. Agape is the greek word used to communicate the love of Christ and we are confident that the feeling of agape will surround this new room and penetrate the hearts of those who enter. Our architect and builder have teamed together to build warm and welcoming entry and gathering space using natural materials. Some of the "green" components include an air exchange system for ventilation, a super efficient wood stove and radiant floor heating. We're already dreaming of the coziness of the room for Advent and Winter retreats! The construction will also provide us with an upgraded main entrance starting with a covered walkway, insulated vestibule, and a foyer has been constructed. The vestibule and foyer are being designed to allow for easy coat storage and a more convenient registration area and location for the Koinonia store. Stay tuned for news on further construction details and for our dedication celebration plans.
