Bonnie Lindsay (quilt designer, liturgical fabric artist, and quilting teacher) will return for her 5th retreat at Koinonia. All skill levels are welcome! The Lone Star (also known as Texas Star or Star of Bethlehem) LOOKS difficult, but isn’t! Strip piecing makes it unbelievably simple. Finished size will be 40”. Come and enjoy the gifts of Koinonia while you sew and worship with new and old friends...without interruptions! Register early!

Join new and old friends as we CELEBRATE KOINONIA!! All Member congregations are asked to send their pastor and 2 designated voting representatives to attend this event! Visitors are also welcomed! This is a time to learn what’s happening in the life of the overall ministry. Speakers will be available to share the stories of living the mission. Please come! A light sandwich dinner will follow the event.

LUTHERAN WORLD RELIEF QUILTING!!
April 18-21, 2004 (Sun—Wed)
$125.00 per person, double occupancy Kairos Conference Center

Giving a quilt, gives a home! Help make a difference... Lorraine Keller (quilting teacher, and author) will lead us and together we will cut, pin, sew and tie. No previous quilting skills required! Meals include Monday breakfast through Wednesday breakfast. In addition to quilting, there will be devotional and worship opportunities. Plus, some may like to work on new quilts for Koinonia beds as well!

PS—Spouses are welcome to come and do service projects as well! Let us know you’re coming and we’ll be ready with needed projects.

Retreat will be based from the Trailbuilding—bunk-bed style housing! Following registration, a confirmation letter, what to bring, and weekend schedule will be mailed to your group leader. The weekend includes highlights such as: Games, Crafts, Hot Dog Roast, Canoeing, Hikes, Campfires, and, Smore’s of Course!

Koinonia charity tournament at nearby golf course. Enjoy 9 holes with fellow supporters. Good fun, good food, and a great cause – help us raise money for Koinonia! Women of Wisdom – TWO RETREATS IN 2004!!

Our 7th annual retreat for women from around the tri-state area for a weekend of spiritual growth and new experiences…sign up early and don’t miss the fun! Join Pastor Koran (Sept. 3-5) or Pastor Olaussen (Sept. 10-12) along with a variety of resource staff and new experiences. Highlights often include massage therapy, crafts, music, and lots of conversation!

Your family is invited to share in fun and fellowship as we focus on our many blessings. Housing is at the Conference Center, and the retreat includes time to enjoy the 1200 acres as well as worship and relaxation.

Advent is the special time of year as we take time-out to prepare our hearts and minds for the coming of the Christ Child and reflect on the significance in our lives of this special season.
