Dear Koinonia Family,
It has been a challenging year for Koinonia, but just as the world at Christmas gets to look anew at a future filled with Good News, so too does Koinonia. Jesus comes among us to renew our hope and our life. “For unto us a child is born, a son is given, and his name will be Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace” (Isaiah 9:6). The Child who is the Wonderful Counselor is with us!
After suffering not one, but three natural disasters beyond our control, Koinonia is poised to endeavor on with your help and support. As we seek funding from some major sources, we need to demonstrate that there are thousands who love this ministry and agree that yes, God is not finished yet with Koinonia, just as God is not yet finished with the world!
Through prayer, God’s counseling and thoughts from many people, we at Koinonia are making plans to renew the ministry that has long been ours. We have a plan to refresh and restore all of our facilities and we are beginning to work that plan.
Your kindness and prayerful donation this Christmas season will be part of the story we tell to individuals and to organizations considering gifts and loans that are the cornerstone of the plan we have put in place to get us to full remediation. We will be sharing much more about the complete plan after the first of the year.
Wishing you a blessed Christmas!
In Christmas Joy,
