Koinonia Nature Day Camp

Camp at a Glance

In today’s fast-paced world, kids often find themselves immersed in scheduled activities chosen by adults, missing out on crucial life skills. Koinonia Nature Camp aims to change that narrative. At our camp, kids ages 4-15 collaborate with staff in a fully outdoor environment to craft their own schedules, fostering problem-solving, time management, flexibility, frustration tolerance, and conflict resolution. Beyond being a play space, our camp is where campers build a sense of belonging, develop life skills, and create lasting memories.

Daily Schedule

Camp runs from 8:30-3:00, Monday-Friday from June 30th through August 23rd. Aftercare is available from 3:00- 5:00 for an additional fee.

Every day, campers move through four, one-hour-long activity blocks. During each block, kids will be offered a choice of at least 3 different activity sessions such as arts and crafts, fishing, swimming, or imaginative play. If they don't like any of those options, they can choose to hang out in our free play area and make their own fun alongside our fully trained staff!

All that play makes kids hungry, so breakfast and lunch are included in the cost of camp every day!

2025 Rates

$220 per week per child

$15 per day per child for aftercare

The Town of Highland offers grants to subsidize the cost of Koinonia Nature camp for Highland residents. This year, the grant was an additional $6,000 making the total $24,000 for this summer.

UPDATE: At this time, unfortunately all of these funds have been allocated to families who have already registered for day camp. If you are a Town of Highland resident and haven't registered, please be aware that funds are unavailable at this time.  If additional funds become available, Koinonia will re-allocate them on a first come first serve basis.

Camp is for Everyone

Child care is expensive, and we believe a quality camp experience should be available to every child. Scholarships are available while they last!

We also partner with the Sullivan County Child Care Council to help offset the cost of camp for families who qualify. Email Mike to find out more! - mike@koinoniany.org
